Welcome to my professional page
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Liège (Belgium) for the DeepSport project funded by the Walloon Region. I received my Master Degree in Computer Science in 2012 from the University of Liège. It focused on performance evaluation of background subtraction algorithms. Thereafter, I received my PhD Degree in Science with a Computer Science orientation in 2020 from the University of Liège. My thesis focused on the development of new background estimation methods (LaBGen and variants) and the evaluation of their performance. This research work was supervised by Pr. Marc Van Droogenbroeck and carried out at the Laboratory for Signal and Image Exploitation (INTELSIG) of the Montefiore Institute of the University of Liège. During my PhD, I did a research trip at the MIA Laboratory of the University of La Rochelle (France) under the supervision of Pr. Thierry Bouwmans in 2018. The purpose of this research trip was to explore new methods for backgroud estimation.
In addition to my work as a researcher, I was a Teaching Assistant for the Pr. Bernard Boigelot and I taught Object-Oriented Sofware Engineering and Programming.
